What is dry ice?

ICECOOL* dry ice or solid carbon dioxide is a white solid with many diverse applications. It is produced at atmospheric pressure with a low temperature of -78.5°C. Its latent heat vaporisation is 570Kj/Kg. The product converts naturally in air from solid to gaseous CO2 without going to liquid, therefore leaving no residue. Carbon Dioxide is a gas which is 1.5 times denser than air. It is non-flammable and will not support combustion or life. One of the main advantages of using ICECOOL dry ice is its capacity for cooling without the need for complicated storage equipment.

* ICECOOL Dry Ice is the name of the dry ice supplied by Ice Cooling Limited
