Handling and Storage Protective gloves must be worn by all people handling solid CO2. Protective gloves available - contact customer service department. Store ICECOOL dry ice where it can not easily be interferred with by inexperienced people, especially children. Do not use in cellars or low-lying areas unless forced ventilation is provided. Do not seal ICECOOL dry ice in any vessel not specifically designed for this application. Do not remove labels from containers. Do not subject containers or containers containing solid CO2, to excessive heat. Where possible containers of solid CO2 should be kept out of doors or in a well ventilated place. Prepare and implement a procedure to deal with any emergency. Obey all in-house and statutory regulations. Use only equipment suitable for solid carbon dioxide and temperatures involved and inspect regularly. Labels suitable storage containers/stores on the outside to indicate the nature of the contents and handling precautions. Ambient temperatures will cause the solid to evaporate into carbon dioxide gas. Procautions need to be taken to ensure there can be no accumilation of carbon dioxide gas. |
